Salesperson Remarks:

The FAREAST 26 started the successful partnership between Fareast Yacht Builders and yacht designers Simonis-Voogd. This high-performance cruiser where quality and performance reigns supreme while maintaining its ability to meet all other requirements. Your interest can be racing or cruising, the flexibility of the FAREAST 26 design allows you to enjoy all that in one yacht. With a well thought out deck layout and ergonomic cockpit design offering maximum safety and protection, the FAREAST 26 becomes a real pleasure for everyone to enjoy sailing.  The modern concept of the yacht with its raised topsides makes it a dry yacht to sail even in rougher conditions normally left to much larger yachts to tackle. The FAREAST 26 makes sailing as easy and comfortable as it can get; from transporting it on a trailer behind your car to sailing out of the harbor, launching and rigging can be done within an hour.

Dave Regnet learned to sail when he was 8 at summer camp on Lake Chautaugua. He returned 7 more summers because sailing (and teaching others to sail) became his passion. Dave grew up in Buffalo where he has been active in the Buffalo Harbor Sailing Club since the early 1980s. In 2007, Dave moved to the Dallas/Fort Worth area and became active in the Lake Grapevine Sailing Club. Returning north in 2010, Dave and his wife, Rebecca, joined the St. Marys Boat Club located on Grand Lake St. Marys. He was club champion in 2017. Dave’s retirement from over 30 years in manufacturing, sales management, and plant operations allows him to pursue his passion for boating by adding value to buyers and sailors alike in the Sandusky area of Lake Erie.
